If you've done any searching for Russian or Ukrainian dating sites then you'll no doubt come across loads of hot Ukrainian brides. Many sites take "sex sells" to extremes, offering photos of scantily clad ladies which you can send emails and messages to. So what's going on? Are these sites legitimate or are they scams?
The first thing is that hot Ukrainian bride website problems usually fall into two categories:
- Scam websites
- Scam ladies
Ukrainian Scam Websites
There are loads of Ukrainian and Russian personals sites, and since many of them are based in countries with dubious records of law enforcement or business regulations, it's easy for them to get away with just about anything.
You're usually safer with a website that is hosted and operated by a legitimate company based in Western country. But this doesn't always help.
Hopefully there aren't any websites out there that will scam you in terms of stealing your credit card details or something like this. But far more common are sites that waste your money. Common things that go on are:
- Fake profiles.
- Duplicate profiles.
- Pay per minute video.
- Ladies already in a relationship, but still listed on site.
Believe me when I say that this is the tip of a very big iceberg of shame!
Obviously these kinds of sites normally feature plenty of hot Ukrainian brides. They're trying to sell you a dream which will probably not be the reality of having a Ukrainian bride.
The worst types of site are those that charge you per minute for video, or you have to pay to contact each individual lady. This business model is very profitable for the website! But for you the punter, it's seriously flawed. Since the letter writing type of site gets paid according to the numbers of letters sent through its mail servers, there's a huge incentive for it to invent fake ladies. This is very hard for us end users of the site to prove. But I have my suspicions regarding certain sites I've used. And I'll tell you straight up that AFA/LoveMe had duplicate ladies listed on their site. And this from a supposedly reputable dating site. Yes it's probably an administrative error, but how many men have emailed both profiles, thinking they were different ladies?
